Some people like eating cookies while others enjoy eating the raw cookie dough before the cookies are baked. While cookie dough can and is very tasty, this practice of eating raw cookie dough can be very unsafe since cookie dough often has raw egg in it. Eating raw flour is also ill-advised and can cause you to get sick. This is why the flour used in this recipe has to be heat-treated in a 350 degree Fahrenheit home or bakery oven for 7 minutes before it can be added into this eggless cookie dough recipe. Once the flour has been heat-treated, it has to be cooled before it can be added to the dough mixture.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 tsps vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour, heat-treated and cooled
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
PROCEDURE:
- Place room temperature butter in a mixing bowl and beat together with the two sugars until soft and fluffy.
- Add in the vanilla extract and mix well.
- Next, stir in with a wooden spoon your heat-treated all-purpose flour.
- Add in the salt.
- Coat your chocolate chips with a little of the heat-treated flour and add into mixture. If the mixture is too dry, add in a teaspoon of milk until a soft but non-sticky dough forms.

- You can add different flavors and mix-ins to this basic cookie dough recipe to create various types you can enjoy.
